In 2024, Gregory Hedrich designed the monumental stage sculpture “Nelum the Bird” for the Mit Dir Festival. The impressive owl, with a wingspan of 15 meters, was realized under his artistic direction together with a team of artists and craftspeople. Designed to merge natural form with futuristic aesthetics, the sculpture became a radiant centerpiece of the festival grounds.
Video mapping brought the sculpture to life, merging light, motion, and sound into a hypnotic visual performance that shaped the identity of the Mühlenfloor. In 2025, “Nelum the Bird” returned to the Mit Dir Festival before traveling to Poland for the Mystic Creatures Festival, where it once again spread its luminous wings above the crowd, captivating audiences with its vibrant presence.
